The charter sets out minimum expectations for remappable controls, subtitle presentation and colour-blind-safe interfaces.
Eleven studios have signed a shared accessibility baseline covering three areas: fully remappable controls including modifier keys, subtitle presentation with adjustable size and background opacity, and interfaces that do not rely on colour alone to convey state.
The document is non-binding and deliberately modest in scope. Its authors describe it as a floor rather than a target, aimed at smaller teams without dedicated accessibility staff who need a concrete reference point. Two of the signatories have committed to auditing their existing catalogues against it.
